Happiness - Not So Elusive

Hi dear friends, here is my 3rd blog. My two blogs were informative type but this time i brought new topic "HAPPINESS"- NOT SO ELUSIVE. There are some lines in image. From this we can understand happiness is not hard to find out. 1st of all we have to understand, what is Happiness, what we interpret from this word. Happiness is not our facial expression. Happiness is in our thoughts and fellings which show our expression of happy and joy. Why did i come with this. Let me tell you, tomorrow I was coming back to Indore by train. There were two families sitting near by me and talking to each other. One lady was talking about her daughter that she is in Indonesia. She is very happy. Her husband got an apartment and a car from the company. Other one was telling about her family that they are the happiest person in the world. Her son got job in foreign and so on.

After approx 30 minutes, they started telling their problems and problems of their children also. After listening big conversation from them, it forced me to think about happiness that how can we get happiness. Can we buy it?

People think that buying LCD T.V, latest car, and designer clothes make them happy. These things can't. A person feels happy when he graduates college with highest rank, when his child is born, when he wins some competition. We always try to find out happiness out side but it is in us.

One of my friends asked me "Pradeep, how can you be happy whole time" and my answer was "Just be happy" Love whatever you do. What I believe is that make happiness a habit to be happy.
Every morning you wake up and open your eyes. Say to yourself "This is a new and wonderful day for me. Today I will face challenges and enjoy them. I will choose right action, love, peace today."
Start each day in this manner. I am sure you will be the happiest person.

  6. Dear Pradeep,

Nice thought, your blog made me ponder for sometime whether I myself have this habit or not. I would have cherished reading a little more if you could have discussed some more ways which one can practice to stay happy...like my cheer mantras are
    1. I always ensure when I am gloomy myself, everything around me which appears positive and lively I consciously appreciate wholeheartedly by doing this actually the negativity in me gets nullified with their positive energy....
    2. Reading books with happy ending and literature based on logic and common sense :)
    3. Listening few of my all time favorite songs also works a lot specially the numbers where I like tapping my feet the most brings enthusiasm back on track...
    4. Playing with my pet Roger also cheers me up!!!
    5. The latest is working on OSN I find it interesting and some how complain that I don't get time for it so now when something is bothering me in a negative way I just login and keep myself busy in that for sometime and the negativity most of the time gets drained out at least the thought process gets freshen up!!!

I know life always doesn't bring the issues which could be dealt with this simplicity but yes I also feel being happy is an art in itself and it does need efforts and a lot of practice, patience and commitment.

Stay happy....and work on your self improvement....

    Best Wishes!!!

  9. hi,I think you are very right some time we all think that happiness is all about getting all the things what we desire but is not so. we all should be happy with the things that we have.
today you give me a new thought.

  11. Good job Pradeep, I appreciate your effort. Really you forced me to think about this matter. In this materialistic world, we have misconception about happiness that we can purchase happiness but you realized us that our real happiness is different.
